Editorial Policies
1. Focus and Scope
The Magister-Journal of Educational Researches (M-JER) is the official refereed journal of Cebu Technological University Educational and Research Center (CTU-ERRC). It publishes original research articles and reviews bi-annually in the various fields of educational management, pedagogy and professional education, mathematics teaching, science teaching, technology and livelihood education, language teaching, and other related educational researches.
2. Open access agreement
Upon publication, the authors retain ownership of the copyright of their research articles. However, the authors permit the institution to make their research articles accessible and available as widely as possible. Thus, the authors permit any user to download, print out, extract, reuse, archive, and distribute the article, so long as appropriate credit is given to the authors as source of the work.
3. Submission of Research Papers
Authors are expected to conform to the Author’s Guide in Preparing Manuscript. When submitting an article, authors should indicate that they have not submitted manuscript for publication elsewhere. On the first page of the research paper, the author should state that: “This paper has not been submitted for publication in other journals”.
4. Plagiarism and Grammar Checking
Upon submission to the official Online Journal System (OJS) website of M-JER, the research article will undergo a plagiarism and grammar check using Turnitin and Grammarly. The author will be given a Certificate of Similarity Index and Grammar Check once the research paper is cleared of the two tests.
5. Peer-review Process
A research article submitted will be subjected to a double-blind review process by at least two experts in the field. Review process will take at least one month and the research paper will be returned to the author with comments, suggestions, and recommendations from the reviewers. The author shall revise his/her article at the soonest possible time (not more than 7 days) since this will be sent back to the editorial board for further action until acceptance/rejection decision, as the case may be.
6. Confidentiality & Privacy Statement
Editors and reviewers are required to treat all submitted manuscripts in strict confidentiality. The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purposes and parties.
7. Publication Ethics
Authors are expected to comply with the best practices in publication ethics specifically with regards to the consensus on authorship, avoidance of ghost or guest authorship, dual submission, manipulation of figures, conflicting interests and compliance with the journal policies. Reviewers and Editors are required to treat manuscripts fairly and with strict confidentiality.
